Terrorist Chaos In Paris, NYC On High Alert
As a deadly terror attack happened in Paris Friday night, sending US counter-terrorism officials on High Alert, assessing whether there is any indication of threats to the United States, including New York City a target of deadly strikes twice in recent memory.
The media reports that anti-terror officials believe there is no immediate indication of any threat to American cities, adding immediate suspicion for the Paris terrorism had fallen on those who heva traveled to Syria and Iraq and have returned.
In New York City, the police department was increasing security at the French consulate, according to reports.
The New York Police Department says it is evaluating circumstances overseas, and evaluating the intelligence they are receiving from Paris.
“The people of New York City are heartbroken to see our sister city of Paris shaken again by these thoughtless acts of violence, and we stand in solidarity with the residents of Paris and with Mayor Hidalgo during this tragic time,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement.
“The victims of these horrific attacks, their families, and all the residents of Paris are in our hearts tonight. NYPD is in close contact with our international liaison in Paris and the local authorities and are closely monitoring the situation.”
