The oil driller Baker Hughes reported on Friday that the number of active U.S. oil rigs fell by 8 rigs to 354 last week. It was the lowest level since November 2009.
The number of gas rigs increased by 1 to 89.
Combined oil and gas rigs decreased by 7 to 443.
