The U.S. dollar weakened against most major currencies in the Asian session on Wednesday.
The U.S. dollar fell to a 1-week low of 0.7974 against the Australian dollar and a 5-day low of 1.1241 against the euro, from yesterday’s closing quotes of 0.7940 and 1.1184, respectively.
Against the pound, the Swiss franc and the Canadian dollar, the greenback edged down to 1.5209, 0.9239 and 1.2029 from yesterday’s closing quotes of 1.5178, 0.9263 and 1.2066, respectively.
If the greenback extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.81 against the aussie, 1.15 against the euro, 1.55 against the pound, 0.91 against the franc and 1.18 against the loonie.
