FXStreet (Córdoba) – The Mexican peso dropped to fresh all-time lows against the US dollar. USD/MXN jumped from 15.80, broke above 15.85 and climbed to 15.924. Currently is trading at 15.905, consolidating a gain of 0.50% for the day.

A stronger US dollar across the board pushed the pair to the upside, that accelerated after breaking above 15.85, where previous highs were located. All Latin-American currencies are falling versus greenback on Friday.

USD/MXN approaches 16.00

The Mexican peso has been falling since June of last year. USD/MXN back then was trading at 13.00 end ended 2014 around 14.60. During the current year continued to move with an upside bias; it broke above 15.00 in March and now is headed toward 16.00.
