Early indications suggest that U.S. stocks could open Tuesday’s session solidly higher in their attempt to snap a 5-session losing streak. Bargain hunting could come into play, although fundamental concerns do not provide logic for a strong rebound. Asian stocks staged a recovery earlier in the day but China and Japan did experience a rout. The European markets have also started on a solidly positive note. The dollar is mixed and most commodities are weaker, although oil is bouncing off 6-1/2 year lows. The domestic markets may also focus on economic readings on consumer confidence, new home sales and house prices.
