The Cabinet office is slated to release the Japan consumer confidence index for March at 1:00 am ET Friday. The index is seen at 41.3, compared to 40.7 in February.
Ahead of the data, the Yen held steady against its major rivals.
As of 12:55 am ET, the Yen was trading at 128.19 against the Euro, 177.64 against the Pound, 124.40 against the Swiss franc and 118.98 against the U.S. dollar.
