FXStreet (Guatemala) – Analysts at Westpac noted the key events ahead today.

Key Quotes:

“Australia Sep housing finance is due at 11:30am Syd/8:30 Sing HK. Westpac and the market are both expecting flat outcomes for the headline, which is a measure of owner occupier loans. Housing markets are showing clear signs of cooling off, and the total value of loans to both owner occupiers and investors may well be down for the Sep month. We will also see Oct NAB business sentiment at the same time. Last month business conditions were steady at +9, a reading above the long run average, while confidence rose to 5.

Singapore and Malaysia are closed for the Deepavali holiday (India is instead closed Wed-Thu). China Oct CPI and PPI are out at 12:30pm Syd/9:30am local. There should be little tension around inflation measures, which are not a barrier to any further easing. Far more interesting will be China’s Oct industrial production data due tomorrow. The US calendar is again quiet, limited to NFIB small business optimism.”
